MY FLORAL JOURNEY

“For as long as I remember I have always admired flowers.  My Mom and Grandmothers always had gorgeous flower and vegetable gardens that I would help tend (the snap peas never made it to the house as I ate them all off the vines!).  Even my earliest science experiments in elementary school involved testing flowers in various liquids to see which lasted the longest.  Following my passion for art and flowers I found my first job in the floral industry 24 years ago at Rosemary Duff Florist in Escondido while studying fine art and design college. They quickly became my flower family and my love of flowers, retail management, and customer service grew like a vine reaching for the sun.

Even after college learning has always been and still is an integral part of my well-being and career.  Throughout my floral journey I have been honored to learn new techniques and designs and reinvigorate my creativity from some of my favorite revered designers like Sarah Winward, Nicolette Camille, Katie from Ponderosa &Thyme, Sara from Saipua, Amy Merrick, and Francoise Weeks.  Beyond thankful for their support and knowledge!

In 2011 I started Third Bloom after working with and managing some of the top high end florists in San Diego. Over the years Third Bloom has been a successful floral endeavor.  Beginning with a private design studio focusing on weddings and events, to multiple retail locations. The last being in the village of Rancho Santa Fe from 2019-2024, after managing the previous flower shop, Rancho Santa Fe Flowers, for 8 years before from 2003-2011.

Currently slowing down to grow our own flowers and watch our garden grow.  Offering blooms drops every few weeks, special request orders for delivery throughout San Diego, and intimate events all with locally grown and sustainable flowers and practices from our private floral design studio in Escondido.
